| The North Coast Wine Country begins in Cloverdale on Highway 101 and winds over Highway 128 to Boonville. This little town of approximately 750 people has a supermarket, four restaurants, and is the headquarters of the Anderson Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service. CalStar Air Ambulance services the entire area. From the air on a clear day — and there are many — you can see the coastal range and the ocean beyond. Navarro River State Beach, about 45 minutes from Boonville, is a broad, sandy river estuary beach with great sunset views. |  |
